The Future is Now!

Looking back on the period since the outbreak of COVID-19 shows how much society has relied on the emergency services and other key workers, and we thank all of you for that.

Managing lockdowns, self-isolations and infections alongside high service demand has highlighted the critical nature of data throughout the pandemic and its importance in enabling police forces, other emergency services and important frontline businesses to respond to absence and subsequent redistribution of work.

This more disruptive state has not finished. It will continue for some time yet, but it is important to recognise that the future is now! Our key workers and others must be able to respond better to gain flexibility, agility and awareness and by use of data and analytics be able to act appropriately and early enough to have an impact.

Planners now have the knowledge to refine scheduling and other processes to provide not only a better service, but drive productivity and efficiency improvements whilst recognising staff prerequisites and desires.

We continually strive to improve our product to fit with the changing landscape and this increased rostering/scheduling requirement means that we have new developments in progress to refine this component of the solution meaning that it will work better for larger groups and organisations.  And, as functionality improves, it is essential that all users are supported through the change. Our new partnership with me learning has created a smarter, more efficient digital training capability. With staff able to practice as much or as little as they want, when they want – reducing the stress and anxiety that often comes with the roll out of any technology change, especially useful in an initial training phase when we must bring literally thousands of users up to speed very quickly. But it also means that year-on-year, new employees can receive training which is always fresh and current.
